The Maids: Personalities, Looks and Habits
The maids are the heart of Custom Order Maid 3D2, and KISS built the whole game around making them feel like individuals. Every maid carries a personality that shapes how she talks, how she behaves on stage and what happens in her private events — and on top of that, the character editor lets you design how she looks down to the smallest detail.
More than a uniform
A maid in Custom Order Maid 3D2 is not a generic employee with a different hairstyle. Each one has a personality archetype that drives her dialogue, her reactions to training, her behaviour in shows and the flavour of her relationship events. Two maids can wear the same costume and still feel like completely different people.
The personality system also feeds the gameplay: certain personalities are natural dancers, others are natural hostesses, and a well-mixed roster covers every part of the club's operation.
The starting personalities
The base game centres on three personality types, each with its own voice, mannerisms and event scenes. Muku is the innocent: shy, earnest and easily flustered, she grows into confidence with gentle encouragement. Majime is the diligent one — serious, hard-working and a little strict, who slowly warms up as she learns to trust you. Rindere is cool and proud on the surface, with a softer side that shows only to the people she lets close.
These three set the tone of the whole game, and later packs expand the family with new archetypes that slot into the same systems.
Nurturing and the GP-01Fb pack
The Motherly and Nurturing Woman Personality Pack GP-01Fb adds a fourth archetype: the Nurturing maid. Warm, patient and protective, she brings a different energy to the club — and she is fully compatible with Scout Mode, so you can go out and recruit the Nurturing maid of your choice instead of waiting for her to arrive.
The pack also includes new lovey-dovey yotogi and H-events written for the Nurturing personality, in the same style as the events for Muku, Majime and Rindere. It is an add-on rather than a standalone game, and it slots into the existing Custom Order Maid 3D2 / 3D2 & 2.5 systems.
The editor is the star
The character editor is the feature players talk about first. Body shape, face, eyes, hairstyle, skin tone, outfits, accessories — the KISS engine gives you an unusual amount of control, and the results are visible everywhere, from stage performances to private scenes.
Costumes matter beyond looks: different outfits are worn for shows, for service and for private time, and dressing a maid well raises her confidence and her tips. Between the editor and the wardrobe, the only limit on variety is your own patience.
Voices and mannerisms
Each personality comes with a voice that matches her archetype, and dialogue lines are written to feel individual — the innocent maid hesitates, the diligent one talks in careful sentences, the Nurturing one fusses over you. Small gestures in the 3D scenes reinforce the effect, so the maids read as characters rather than animated mannequins.
This is where the game's attention to detail shows. Fans of the KISS series often point to the voice acting and event writing as the reason they keep coming back long after the management numbers stop being challenging.
Building your own roster
There is no wrong way to build a roster, but most players settle into a pattern: one strong dancer for the stage, one charming hostess for the floor, one diligent all-rounder, and a personal favourite who gets the private-time events. Scout Mode makes the search part of the fun, letting you hunt for the exact combination you want.
Whatever you choose, the maids will make it your club. The management systems provide the challenge, but the characters are the reason it feels like yours.
